FINANCE MANAGER

Overview:

This role reports into the Head of Finance. The core aspects of the role encompass financial control, ledger oversight and financial reporting including the production of the annual statutory accounts. The role will also support management reporting and FP&A when required.

This is a full-time position based in Moorgate London.

Job Description, Qualifications & Experience:

The BAU deliverables within the role are as follows:-

• Monthly ledger close
• Monthly ECL model oversight
• Accounting SME
• Quarterly VAT reporting and payment
• Annual statutory accounts

The finance function is currently going through a period of change where there is significant build out in relation to the financial control environment, documentation, system build out and operational practice. This role will be key to this build out with the following change expected within the next 12 months:-

• Redesign, implement and document financial control framework.
• Produce Accounting Manual and define Finance Policy.
• Oversee build out of EIR system for assets/liabilities held at amortised cost.
• Complete refresh and redesign of notes to annual accounts in readiness for 23/24.

Qualifications and experience required:-

Qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent).

Worked in the Banking sector.

Very competent with IFRS 9, IFRS 16 standards.

Experience in a subsidiary setting would be helpful but not essential.

• Attention to detail.
• Adaptable and keen to drive change.
• Self-starter.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
